Day 4
Today was a very short (105 miles) day. We got fuel at $4.589 and got 8.75 mpg for the 85 gallons. We had a very pleasant stop with Allen and Joyce Wegner at their lake house on Lake Anna, VA. Happy hour was an hour and a half tour of the lake on their pontoon boat. We had a nice supper and sat on their deck until well after the sun went down.

Sounds wonderful Dad. Any Mississippi stories told? I'm relaxed just reading today's blog.
Gee, I took the day off from work today (Friday) so that I and Dave can finish installing 15 (out of 33) panels of stockade fence. Looking forward to being able "relax" as a senior...:)
Hey Grampa. There are few things I like doing better than hanging out at the lake. I agree with Aunt Cindy, your lakeside dinner certainly sounded relaxing.
I have a story I want to share with you.
It takes place in a sixth floor office at BAE. I was working with two other guys on particularly frustrating project and none of us were making any progress. Next, in walks Ed Slyvia who feels the frustration in the air and decides this is a prime opportunity to heckle us (he is exceptional at getting a raise out co-workers). One of the guys acknowledges Ed and says, “Yeah we have had long day, we will definitely be heading to place where we can get a few beers after work.” Ed responds with, “well I hope your are prepared for that, because I used to do the same thing with his grandfather (pointing to me) and if beer drinking is genetic your in for a long night.” Chad (guy next to me) says, “Whoa, wait you know Dave’s grandfather.” Finally, Ed ends my story with, “Dave you mean to tell me that you haven’t told these guys your grandfather’s bear story.”
