More Destin Florida

It's still cold...long pants...socks...boring! Still, it was another sunny, cloudless day that was very comfortable if you were in the sun. Henderson State Park is a mile and a half of beach smack dab on the western edge of Destin. After stocking up at a deli, we and the Dunns arrived at the Roths to make sandwiches and gather picnic supplies to take to the beach. The spring breakers have just started to arrive, but we only saw one intrepid soul actually in the water. We had lunch at one of several pavillions on the beach. Then we returned to the campground to sit around and visit for a while. The beach scene is looking east toward Destin. It is a pretty good "global" shot of the area. The aircraft is a T-28 that buzzed the beach. It was a workhorse trainer for both the Air Force and the Navy in the 50's.
